Circulars ENAM’08 – Third (Final) Announcement The Fifth International Conference on Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses (ENAM) 3rd circular - final information The Fifth International Conference on Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses (ENAM'08) will be held in Ryn, in the Mazurian Lakes District in Poland, on September 7-13, 2008. It is organized by the Physics Department of University of Warsaw jointly with the Sołtan Institute for Nuclear Studies, Świerk. Scientific program The program consists of invited talks and a number of oral presentations selected from contributed papers, complemented by a poster exhibition. Selected posters were accepted for a very short oral presentation. The program of the conference is posted on the web page: http://enam08.fuw.edu.pl/scientificprog.html Posters should be prepared in the vertical (portrait) orientation. They should fit within a rectangle of 86 cm 120 cm. This includes the popular formats A0 and E. Proceedings (!) The links to the information on the manuscript types available, on the style files which must be used, as well as a detailed description of the electronic submission procedure is posted on the conference web page: enam08.fuw.edu.pl/proceedings.html. Note, that a special subject area code of a manuscript (ENAM 2008), will have to be selected in the submission process. In case of questions or problems with your submission please contact the Editorial Office www.epj.org/contact_a.html. Papers can be submitted after the time slot has been closed but inclusion in the special issue cannot be guaranteed and such articles will - if accepted for publication - be published in later issues as individual papers. In addition to the special EPJ A volume, the organizers will produce a CD-ROM containing all presentations (upon agreement of the authors). Each participant will receive both the EPJ volume and the CD. Location Payments Social Program and Leisure There will be a number of leisure and sports attractions for conference participants and accompanying persons. They include a small swimming pool with jacuzzi and sauna, a fitness room, a tennis court, a place to shoot with a bow, and others. Two lakes and the forest offer many out-door activities. There will be possibility to rent bikes, kayaks, and sailing boats. Some group activities and excursions for interested participants will be proposed. Travel information The easiest and most convenient way to get from Warsaw to Ryn and back, is to take a conference bus. The buses will go to Ryn on Sunday, September 7, between 10:30 and 15:30, starting from the Institute of Experimental Physics, Hoża 69, Warsaw. You can get there from the Warsaw airport by taxi or by the public bus no. 175 (get off at "Dw. Centralny" bus stop). In case of any transportation problem on this day, please call ENAM emergency number 1 (see below). The return buses to Warsaw will start from Ryn on Saturday, September 13 morning. More details on the organized transportation and on the hotel reservation in Warsaw are given at: http://enam08.fuw.edu.pl/php/travel_info.php For participants arriving too late, or travelling on their own, there are other ways to get to Ryn. One is to rent a car at the airport (www.lotnisko-chopina.pl/content/arrival/en/rentacar.php). A much cheaper option, however more complicated, is to use a public bus. First, take a taxi from the airport to the bus station "PKS Dworzec Zachodni". From there take a bus to Mrągowo (230 km, 4h 30 m). In Mrągowo you may take a taxi to Ryn (22 km) or call us and we pick you up by a car. In any case, please fill the Travel Form at: http://enam08.fuw.edu.pl/php/travel.php !
